A
TOUR OF THE TOWN
Eraclea
Shore is a recently developed bathing area on the Adriatic Sea.
It is set in a large, luxuriant pine forest, and its more than half
mile of beach is still partly virgin and bordered with sand dunes.
There are plenty of hotels and guests houses of different categories,
camping grounds, and apartments for rent beyond the pine forest.

Nearby shopping centers, snack bars, ice cream parlors, restaurants,
discotheques, and pizza parlors provide settings in which to share
pleasant moments with family and friends. The local tourist board
organizes numerous activities, including art exhibits, folk dancing
performances, sports tournaments, village festivals, and outdoor
cinema programs, and an amusement park for children. All the necessary
services are provided for a pleasant stay by a pharmacy, bank, police
station, and emergency medical services. The Eraclea Beach slopes
gently down to the sea, and features a particularly well - equipment
bathing station with lounge chairs, beach umbrellas, dressing rooms,
and showers. Here the sea water is among the cleanest to be found
in the entire Adriatic. Sports lovers can use the exercise trail
that winds through the pine forest, ar participate in sailing lessons
at the dry dock.

There
is also a riding stable where equitation courses are held, tennis
courts that are open after dark, and a bicycle rental service that
provides an interesting way to explore the surrounding countryside.
The "Laguna del Mort" is a placid mirror of water where
nature has remained uncontaminated, and the silence is interrupted
only by the whisper of the wind and the call of birds. Numerous
species of acquatic birds spend the winter and build their nests
here. Eraclea is in a perfect position to allow its guests to visit
Venice and other old towns in the Veneto Region.
